After taking out the two bolts holding the calipers on, I removed the caliper from the rotor and set it on the leaft spring...Then the rotors just slide off...I put on the new rotors, then removed the brake line from the caliper...I couldn't pinch the line due to the age, so I just placed a oil pan under the caliper to catch the brake fluid, and once removed, quickly bolted the brake line onto the ned caliper...(I bought loaded calipers with new brake pads already installed)...The rotors were about $37 a piece and the loaded calipers were $36 a piece...It was pretty inexpensive and easy to do...Once I put the calipers on the new rotors and rebolted them back in, I bled the brakes...Jack stands are important for this because someone has to get in the vehicle to press the pedal...This is not safe with just a jack....After bleeding the brakes I test drove the beast and the brakes work perfect!!!

Since I bought this Jeep I have had brake problems...When I took it to get the transmission fixed, the mechanic told me the left side front brake caliper was actually a right side one and was on upside down; therefore, it was not bled properly or at all because the bleeder was on the bottom...This caused a severe pull to the right when braking...Also the rotors were a little old...Some brake shops were quoting me a few hundred buks to do the front brakes...I said screw it and tried them myself...It turned out to be super easy....MAKE SURE YOU USE JACK STANDS SO YOU DON'T KILL YOURSELF AND YOUR JEEP!!!

Here are a few more mud pictures while I discuss a major issue I had while installing new seat belts...Most of the bolts came out with a little strength and a torque wrench; however, the passenger side base of the seat belt would not come out...The screw was stuck in the floorboard and the use of the torque wrench only rounded out the screw head...I looked on multiple forums and it seemed to be a very common problem...I tried the screw extractor kits and in my opinion they SUCK!! The extractor bit snapped off with about 6 lbs of torque...I didn't have tools to handle this problem properly, so I went caveman on it and snamshed the little piece of crap out with a hammer...Although I lost the threading cap underneath the floorboard...I simply fixed that with a couple of oversized washers and used heavy grade bolts on the top and underneath...It worked great!!! All the new seat belts are in and they work great....!!

JEEP TIME!!!

After I got the spray in liner done and cleaned everything up, I decided to get a litle dirty...I hit up a few muddy puddles that were probably a little too deep; however, the Jeep did great...The water was coming in and draining out through the drain holes, but since I only had the bikini top on and no doors, the dash and everything inside got really muddy....Above are a few shots of the dirt, Which was left on for a while to enjoy, but eventually cleaned up...
