Due to and extreme addiction to coffee, I found it difficult to travel to work in the morning because I had to shift and hold my coffee at the same time...I found an aftermarket console online and thought I would give it a try...for only $59.99, it was a great purchase...Since I took the carpet out, it was an easy install because I didn't have to drill through carpet. The console fits very tight between the seat, which makes it difficult to lift the passenger seat up, but it still works...(NOTE: If you buy new seat belts and want to use a console, there is a 6 inch extender bracket, which I purchased, the raises the seat belt base so a console will fit right...Thank God I bought that extra peice...This console has a fairly secure lock, but I still wouldn't keep any valuables in it...it could be easily pryed open...There is an awesome cooler piece inside the console that can hold six drinks with ice for the trips to the beach! If you are looking for super protection, I would go with a tuffy console or something made of steel all around so it can't be popped open...This one serves my purpose though!!!
